My Story
Growing up, I never left the salon truly happy. It wasn’t because I was overly picky—I just never felt like I walked out with the vision I had in my head. Whether it was a lack of communication or simply not being fully understood, something was always missing. Eventually, I stopped going to salons altogether and began doing my own hair, learning through trial, error, and creativity.
That experience shaped everything
When I entered cosmetology school, I discovered just how much knowledge, detail, and care truly goes into hair, skin, and nails. I quickly fell in love with the craft. The more I practiced, the more my passion grew—and the better I became. I found my niche in color services, especially vivid colors that allow personality and individuality to shine. At the same time, I developed a deep appreciation for precision highlights, seamless blending, clean haircuts, and even braiding services.
For me, it’s never just about the hair.
It’s about creating a space where every client feels seen, heard, and confident. The real beauty of what I do is in the transformation—when someone looks in the mirror and feels like the best version of themselves. It’s in the easier mornings, healthier hair, and the everyday compliments that follow. This isn’t just a luxury service—it’s a lifestyle.
My journey into the industry started early. At just 16 years old, during my junior year of high school, I began working as a salon assistant. I absorbed everything I could, treating every day as an opportunity to grow. Through a four-year dual enrollment program, I balanced high school and college-level cosmetology education, going above and beyond to build my future early. Out of dozens of students who started the program, only a small handful completed it—and I was one of them.
Before I had even graduated high school, I was already working behind the chair as a licensed stylist.
Within just over a year, I built a fully booked clientele and established a strong reputation for my work ethic, attention to detail, and client care. But like many success stories, mine came with unexpected challenges.
In July 2025, I was suddenly let go from the salon I once considered home—just one day after committing to moving into my own place. With no income, rising bills, and no access to most of my previous clientele, I was faced with a choice: give up, or take a leap of faith.
I chose to bet on myself.
Using my life savings, I launched Simply Styled Hair. It wasn’t the timing I had planned—but doing nothing wasn’t an option. I had always dreamed of creating a space where clients would feel genuinely cared for, like family. Suddenly, I had to bring that dream to life much sooner than expected.
Starting over wasn’t easy. I had moved nearly an hour away, leaving behind my established client base and stepping into a completely new area. Statistically, the odds were against me. But within just three months, I opened my own luxury private suite with the support of an incredible community of strong women at Luxe West Collective.
The first few months were uncertain and, at times, overwhelming. Clients I depended on didn’t always return, and the pressure was real. But instead of giving up, I adapted. I leaned into social media, shared my work, and stayed consistent.
That decision changed everything.
Today, I’m proud to say that Simply Styled Hair is growing into a thriving business. What started as a risk has turned into a purpose-driven career where I get to uplift others every single day.
And this is only the beginning.
My mission is to continue expanding, evolving, and helping people not only achieve their dream hair—but step into their most confident, empowered selves. Because when you look good, you feel different. You show up differently. You live differently.
And that’s what I’m here to create.
